1) Myth - People with mental illness are ‘mental’, ‘psychos’ and ‘crazy’ and should be kept in a mental hospital.
Fact - There are numerous people suffering from mental illnesses, but they lead a normal life with the help of medication and therapy. They should be treated with proper care, support and respect. Labelling them as ‘psycho’ or ‘mental’ is harsh and creates stigma around mental health and disorders. It’s time to change the narrative and promote understanding instead of isolation.
2) Myth - Mental illness does not exist.
Fact - Mental health struggles are super common, just like the changing seasons. In today’s fast-paced world, it feels like everyone is facing some kind of mental health challenge—whether it’s anxiety, stress, or depression. Let’s talk about it!
3) Myth - Kids and teens don’t deal with mental health issues!

4) Myth - Individuals dealing with mental health challenges can sometimes be unpredictable and may exhibit aggressive behavior.

5) Myth - Living with mental illness can make it really tough to handle the pain and stress of finding a job or even just getting through daily activities.
Fact - With correct and effective treatment, a person with mental illness can also lead a productive life.
6) Myth - People with mental illness can never recover.
Fact - With the correct psychological treatment, medical help and caregiver support, mental illnesses are manageable.
7) Myth - No use in wasting time on therapy or self-help. Medications are better.
Fact - There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to treating mental health. It's a perfect blend of therapy and medication!
